A rainy day Dhaka, i decided to let the breeze pamper my face. I sat by the stairs, a slight breeze embracing the leaves, tens of crows soaring in the sky, Palm leaves drooping in the rain yet dancing with the breeze.....
A beautiful sight to sit and stare at.
I looked at the familiar pedestrians down the alley. Some rushing into the college, some to the hospital, others seeming lost.
An unusual object caught my eyes. A blue cylinder placed horizontally, two tray-like structures in front of it. It had never been there before, and it was almost impossible to miss it. Right there, in front of the college entrance. Oh well, that wasn't the only unusual object there. They had built a small gate there too, with a banner which made no sense to me. How would it! It was all in Bengali.
World hand washing day? No! It's somewhere in March right?
Whatever it is, the barrel there is more beautiful than what i came to see at the stairs.
To call this place unorganized would be an understatement. But yes, they are trying. The barrel is a proof strong enough..... They will make it, the progress is slow but it's one of the best feelings to realize that they haven't given up. Bangladesh is trying 😊

What is the blue cylinder about and also the barrel? What did you see at the stairs? And why would calling it unorganized be an understatement? So many questions you leave there without any answers. It's 2.47 am as i read this and its very unsettling. I wonder what it was all about. You left me curious. ✌✌
ReplyDeleteIt was a portable sink for washing hands. Things are a little, let's say haphazard in here, that's why an understatement. But nevertheless, the small improvements are still worth appreciating.
DeleteAlso sorry for getting back to you after all these years
