TO MY LOVER'S EX

 TO MY LOVER’S EX,

You may not know me and it is all right,

I would not say that I know you either.

We both have a part of him that will never leave us.

Well, it is never possible to delete someone’s existence from our lives.

He tells me everyday that he would stand by me till his last breath,

And I believe him with all that I have.

He looks into my eyes and it is always there,

The love, and with it, the fear too.

He has the fear of losing the love he has sought in many others,

The fear of not being good enough,

Good enough to make someone want to stay.

The fear of being left in the dark by the one light of his life.

To my lover’s ex, I hope you are happy now

And that you have found what you were pursuing

But most of all, I hope that it was all worth instilling these fears in him.

No hard feelings, we all have needs.

I wish we had met earlier, for I could know you better,

'cause no matter how hard I try,

I always wonder why, just why would you wound him,

And cut deep, over and over again, to leave him bleeding.

He has bled and you might wanna know,

He still is bleeding from your cuts,

All over his life and all over his loved ones.

And the regret is his, which would rather be yours.

To my lover’s ex, just for once, love him again like he was yours,

Love him for what he was before you, before the others you had with him,

And now tell me, is he the person he was before?

Tell me you can’t love him anymore.

You can’t, because he isn’t who you fell in love with

He is struggling to love himself,

And he tries everyday to give me the love that he so much needs,

For him to patch his wounds and heal.

I don’t wish you ill, nor do I blame you for leaving me him to deal with,

I love him and I took him in for all he has been and all that he is.

I write to you to request you to not leave behind another him,

Another wounded to bleed the way he is bleeding.

To my lover’s ex, here I sign off,

Tending his wounds that bleed, caressing the scars left.

Resonating with someone miles apart, in the future,

Wishing for her to not have to do the same some day.

Sincerely, your ex’s lover.

A Family I Never Had ♥

I see myself alone. I have been taught to be selfish. I have been taught to not care. I have been taught like everyone else, to ignore.           Selfish enough to lock my friends inside my soul To not care about the years of separation to come... To ignore that our roots are far from similar Yes you said it right, 5 years from now we will be nothing but loners. But trust me, even when i stand alone, I'll have my squad running in my veins

A Rainy Day In Dhaka

A rainy day Dhaka, i decided to let the breeze pamper my face. I sat by the stairs, a slight breeze embracing the leaves, tens of crows soaring in the sky, Palm leaves drooping in the rain yet dancing with the breeze..... A beautiful sight to sit and stare at. I looked at the familiar pedestrians down the alley. Some rushing into the college, some to the hospital, others seeming lost. An unusual object caught my eyes. A blue cylinder placed horizontally, two tray-like structures in front of it. It had never been there before, and it was almost impossible to miss it. Right there, in front of the college entrance. Oh well, that wasn't the only unusual object there. They had built a small gate there too, with a banner which made no sense to me. How would it! It was all in Bengali. World hand washing day? No! It's somewhere in March right? Whatever it is, the barrel there is more beautiful than what i came to see at the stairs. To call this place unorganized would be an under...
